Picking up new Z

Here it is 4AM or so in the morning, couldn't sleep. I leave at 8:30 in the morning to pick up a 2007 Z. Need to drive from central KY to northern AR where I found the Z with the color and options I wanted. Don't think I'll make the drive in one day, don't want to go to sleep on the road. The trip back should be interesting. Should take my time and act like a tourist while I learn how to drive this new car. In case this thread makes very little sense it is because 3 or 4 hours sleep isn't enough for real logical thought. I may not get very far today before I need to stop but by Friday at the latest I'll have a new Z.

Drove back most of the way on backroads, about 700 miles. Great car, wish I had bought one sooner. Looks great too, have gone to look out at it at odd times just to remind myself that I bought one. I'll take some pictures soon.

I still do that and I've had my Z for 8 months. It never gets old.

The truck and SRT4 are second-hand (used) vehicles and just happened to be the same color. The 350Z I had to look for. I found it in Arkansas. Liked how easy the color is to take care of and it doesn't show dirt like other colors. The SRT4 is fun to drive around town but the 350Z has it beat for comfort. The truck gets the trips that I wouldn't take the others on. I use it for gravel roads, parking lots where the others would get hit on and other trips like that.

It is beautiful but a little bitchy. Got stuck in 5-10mph traffic yesterday and found her bad side. Was almost impossible to hold that slow a speed, had to do a lot of clutch work. But how often does something like that happen? The car is made to go, not crawl! 70mph on the interstate seems to be way too slow for this car. What states don't have a speed limit? Are there any states like that any more?

The outbacks of Montana there isn't a "speed limit" but anything above about 85 you'll still get nailed for reckless driving.

I've wanted to see the sights in Montana for a long time. Might see if I can take a little vacation.

Nice Z, but that doesn't look like silverstone...is that the other shade of silver- liquid silver or something like that?

I used to have an SRT-4 as a daily driver also, mine was black though...

They call that color silver alloy, it's the lighter of the silver colors. I still use the SRT4 as a daily driver. I didn't want the Z to get the little dents from parking lots, etc. Couldn't part with the SRT4 because I still enjoy driving it too much. Hate it for highway driving, way too loud.
On the window sticker the color is listed as silver alloy, not much difference from silverstone as far as I can tell.
