Thumbs up

Get the Black.
If you like it, you'll be fine with the upkeep if the color is what you really want. Any dark color will be the same.

black is awesome but it is definitly a pain on the upkeep..

I own two black cars now and the biggest problem is they do show up dents faster and also seem to get dirty faster..

Next car I get will be white or silver

If you have the time....Get the SuperBlack...I did. Its my first black car. When its clean...absolutely nothing compares! I have a garage but for dust I used a leaf blower first and than the California Duster. Shake out the duster first before using. wrap the duster in paper or a plastic bag and then store it in the case or another bag. Just my opinion...If your interested...I got my ZR over the internet and paid $99.00 over INVOICE. Just about 3 wks. ago. E-mail trente@users.ccleads.com or tlearlie@hippodromecars.com or call 1-615-248-5100 ask for Trent. Located in Nashville, TN. I flew down in the morning and drove home in the early afternoon. It just took 2 and 1/2 days to lock up the deal! Trent's a great guy to deal with too!!! Good Luck! Jerry.

I own a few toys now and have owned my share in the past.Quite a few of them black. I got my Super Black roadster last year and it looks great. I am not a fanatic about it. I go to many car shows, but I never show it because like I said I am not a fanatic. But, it is garaged and I wash it maybe once a month and usually wax it after each wash. It is not that much of a pain to keep clean but it does look terrific. My 300zx roadster is bright red and I have to admit that looks pretty darn good too. I like both colors equally as well. A lot of the guys in the Z club have the variations of silver and they are easier to keep looking clean. But I would not trade Super Black for silver.
Get the Black.

nothing beats black man...usually bright colors show the lines of the car better but I think bright colors look gaudy sometimes..

Talking Get Black

Super Black is the way to go; it is an 'eye catcher' in the gleaming sun. When the weather is 'frightful', that snow, salt, etc. is the ugliest mess you've ever seen. However, just keep it clean and you won't be dissapointed. Black is just 'sexy' no matter what angle.

It all comes down to preferences. I bought white for a reason - it looks cleaner longer between washes. Very dark colors will be much, much more prone show dirt, scratches, waxing swirl lines, dents, and chips.

Let me ask one question - how often do you want your current car? Let us know what you decide.

My previous car was black. When it was clean NOTHING looked better. But after about 4 years the swirl marks were killing me. Especially in the bright sunlight it looked like someone took a brillo pad to the finish. I ended up having to have it buffed VERY often just to keep it looking good. After that I won't buy another black car.

i have both a silver and a black Z.. true the silver is easier to keep clean... but nothing can match the mirror shine that the black has.. i know its a bitch to keep up but i figure 3very 4 to 5 months i can clean polish and wax it to keep it from getting those nasty looking swirl marks .. plus i had the dealer coat my car with that magna shield.. helps keep the dirt from sticking to the finish of my car...
