I think it is people bullshitting about what they dont know. SO they make up terms. Lets say one of these guys walked into a shop at any given time, and asked for a tune up, you could charge them 100 bucks, to change the "turn signal fluid", and "replace the muffler gears", and "change the clutch plates in the speedometer", and they wouldnt give it a second thought. BUT there are a lot of cool people in here who know a WHOLE lot about Z's and other cars, but there are alos a lot of them who have seen fast and the furious too many times, and every other sentence includes the words NOS, 10 second car, or anything else they said in that movie. Some kids think because they have a pair of Altezas, a cone filter, a coffee can muffler, and chromed out cheesy looking dubs, that in their mind they are street racers. Oh well, the arrogant stay arrogant, it is just something you have to get used to in these Forums. peace

LOL, I'm a "kid" . I know that I don't know a whole lot about my Z, but at least I try to know what I'm talking about, I'm learning, and this is one of the few places I am learning from... and especially from you NISMO LMR, I mean Ive only been on these boards for a week or so, most posts Ive seen are from you, and and have good info for me..kudos to you.

......ppl see that I have a Z, and start talking to me about the fast and the furious....fact is...I have never seen the damn movie, nor do I ever plan to.

Cant tell if that were sarcastic or not, but whatever, its all good. I wasnt talking **** about you, just people in general, actually I am quite fond of the fast and the furious, not the cars, but just the way that the audio to visual interpolation effects are very good. Rob Cohan is a good directer, but he doesnt know a whole lot about cars, or about story lines. But I know how it is, when I first started skateboarding, people called me posser becasue I couldnt do anything, a poser is someone who knows they dont know anything about a subject, yet they pretend that they know about it, in order to fit into a particular cliche that they feel if they can be a part of, they may find out who they are. Actaully I am probably one of the younger fellows in here, I am only 16, yet I know a WHOLE lot about cars in general. But its all good, there is a first time for everything. I am off my soap box now, peace.

Oh, OK, well the easiest way to learn about cars is head over to your community college and take some automotive classes. Thats what I did, and it basically quadrupled my knowledge of cars. Good luck in your search of knowledge. peace
