New 300ZX Owner! Glad to be a part of the community!

Well, my dad just gave me his 1991 300ZX NA (2+2). He has had it since he bought it new in 1991. I am lucky enough to get financial assistance from him for repairs and stuff but we have done a good job with regular maintenance and getting anything fixed. Its in perfect condition and I hope to keep it that way for a long time. I just wanted to introduce myself and tell everyone how much I love the Z cars! Every Z-car owner I have met has been really nice and really knows what they are talking about.

Im 19 but I don't want any of you to get the impression im just going to ruin a perfect car with huge wings or stuff like that, its not me. I appreciate a car for its design and performance which is why I love my Z!

I need to change the oil sometime soon but before I place an order I was wondering if I should swith to synthetic, such as Redline Oil? I don't mind paying the price if it is good stuff.

Thanks for all of your help and Im glad to be part of the Z-car enthusiasts!
-Ryan

You could go with Redline, but it's not necessary. IMO, Mobil 1 synthetic is the best oil out there. That's what most hi-end sports cars have in them straight from the factory (Corvette, Porsche, Jag, etc.). I use 15/50 with the TT. With the N/A, you'd probably use 10/40. Also, as far as oil filters go, stick with factory, or use K&N. Fram and Pennzoil filters are garbage. Checkout the link page in Rizzspeed's signature. It has more info in there than you could find anywhere else.
