I was driving to work this morning(6am on a Sunday really sucks). Anyway, as I was turning into our parking lot, my Z just stopped. I mean, the electrical, radio, lights, engine, everything. My car alarm even went off. I sat there for a minute dumbfounded, then restarted my car, and everything seemed to be fine(the clock did have to be reset though). Anybody have any idea what happened? I'm open to any suggestions.

Check your ground connections and your battery terminal connections. There may be some "play" that caused the car to "die" temporarily. Also, ensure your battery terminals are clean.
If the terminal connectors themselves are corroded, replace them.

 

Check the main ground located behind the battery also.

 

hmm i figured alternator until i read you started it back up...i would have to agree with 91 on this one..check your grounds
