Hey im new to the site. I just bought a 1990 300zx twin turbo. I have had a problem with my car that me and mechanic can't figure out. Ill do my best to describe the problem. If anyone has any advice for me it would be appretiated.

The problem only occurs about 3 times a month. It happens when im at a red light and i take my foot off the brake, the revs drop way down and the car almost dies. If i put my foot back on the brake the revs go back to normal but when I try to accelererate the car just dies. It takes about 5 minutes before the car will start for me (its turning over during this time but will not fire). Its still my daily driver but im always worried its still going to stall at a red light.

I want to make sure the car is reliable before i put any money into modifying it. Any advice you have for me would help
