My 85zxt had an aftermarket stereo when I got it. I put mine in but something is wrong. I started with a Pioneer deck. I ran the pre-outs to an eq (attached eq hot wire to remote and ground to chassis). Ran the eq to an amp (amp hot wire to battery and ground to seat rail bolt). Ran new wires to rear speakers and connected them to the amp.Ran new wires to the fronts (voice warning spliced into left speaker wire ) and connected them to the head. The rear speakers sound great but the fronts sound bad and the left side of the head gets very hot. With the amp disconeccted the fronts sound good and the head doesn't get hot. Where did I go wrong here?
