Doing a TT swap for a friend. He's using a JDM engine and I'm wondering just what exactly this is...

It's located on the driver side turbo.

 

Looks like the coolant port to me... though is it sticking out of the exhaust housing (can't really see...) ? If so, maybe it's part of the EGR?

The FSM doesn't show anything there?

 

definitely not a coolant port, and no the FSM doesn't. It wasn't there on my USDM turbos either.... Others have suggested and EGT probe for an EGT gauge... I guess I'll just pull it and then put a plug in it weld it shut or something... Though it makes me nervous having to do that on a turbo.
