want engine

hey im a new member im 17 love my 1990 300zx but i want a twin turbo motor and i havent goten to much time to learn everything about my car so i got a few questions if anyone can answer them im sure you guys can. 1) would it be wrong of me to twinturbo a vg30de 2) if so (which it probly is due to different pistons) what would be the best way to go price range, get a tt motor or just do some engine work aka replace pistons. 3) is there a difference between a twin turbo 5spd tranny and a n/a 5spd. and finally 4) where would be the best place to go (price wise) to get a twin turbo motor and should i get the tt tranny. also if any has a tt motor they dont want just give me a shout cause im looking.

thanks alot guys

read around here a bit, you'll find that it isnt as simple as "put some turbos ont the NA motor" or "just drop in a TT motor and go". these arent like hondas, there is a LOT of work that goes into an NA to TT engine swap. the best thing to do pricewise may very well be to just buy a TT car.

Hey, glad you are interested in working on your car at such a young age. Thats about when I started (Im not to much older now, 22). The hardest thing for us youngn's (and im sure for a lot of the older people) is coming up with the money to do anything with your car. Cause once you get something good, something else always happens and you have to shell out more money, but its fun learning. Try out this link if your thinking about converting your n/a to a tt. It has step by step instructions on how to.

Good luck
