turbo installtion on my Z

is it possible to swap out turbos without puling the engine out of the car?

Possible, but it takes a lot of work. You basically have to drop everything that's in the way which is most of what's underneath the car.

I just completed this task. I pulled my engine out and replaced them. I've heard it's possible, but I wouldn't want to deal with the frustration of trying to disconnect and reconnect everything with it sitting up against the firewall.

I pulled my motor out just high enough to replace them. Left tranny hooked up to motor and all. For myself I think this is the easiest way.

I've pulled my motor so many times its become second nature to me. So my vote would be pull the motor.

It definitely seems like the best option if you've got an engine hoist or some other means of removing the engine.
