Throttle Body Restrictor Removel

Has anyone removed their throttle body restrictor on their Z? I saw a post where KENZ mentioned it and I had never heard or seen it discussed here. I would like to know where exactly it is?? and what It looks like?

i think we determined that this was not worthwile, due to the angle at which the air enters the TB.

yep... very pointless to remove, as the difference in airflow is so insignificant that you could probably connect a vacuum hose from your intake to the cockpit and blow into it to get larger power gains.

Well I guess now all the NA guys know how to get the best bang for the buck horsepower upgrade. Head down to Sears and get yourself a leaf blower

the throttle body does open up a little more. on my car, i dont have an adjustable screw, but i do have a stopper. when i cut off the stopper, i see it move past the old mark.

i dont have a pic of the exact location, but its right under the front part of the throttle cable cover.
