I am running test pipes from Z1 on my NA slicktop along with HKS Hyper exhaust. I have noticed a decent gain in horsepower to the wheels. However low RPM response is hurt by the lack of back pressure. The biggest difference between a car without Test pies and one with is the noticible LOUDNESS! MY car has already gotten me noticed by the police a few times.

Kinda off subject, but....

I've got a friend who just installed a TT in his NA and now has a 5spd tranny, HKS (wrapped) Headers, HKS Dual Intake, Magnaflow Exhaust, and a pair of ported heads.....and he said I could have it all for cheap (around like $1200-1500) Does this sound like a good idea, and if I were to put the headers, heads, and exhaust, would getting test pipes create too little backpressure?

(I dont care about emmissions, my car is exempt from smog ).

EDIT: also w/ the ported heads, should I consider any injector upgrade or ecu tuning?

I'm confused, is this an NA engine or a TT?

plus how did he run his NA with dual hks intakes?
you're fine with test pipes on your NA just be prepared for the exhaust to be louder.

He swapped his NA out for a TT, and has all these parts just laying around that he isnt going to be able to use on his TT....as for the dual intake, I have no idea, its what he told me, and I sort of scratched my head and just said "oh yea, cool"....so we'll see, but still all those parts would be a nice little jumpstart down the performance brick road...
