Re: supercharger
actualy to tell you the truth its not all talk there are some people out there that have had it done.Unfortunately there are no pre-made supercharger kits for the 300ZX available yet, so you'd have to custom-make all the piping, which is both annoying and expensive. It's a shame there's no kit for this, because there are probably a lot of people who would buy them. A smart tuner could make some good money off this.
especialy since it adds about 40% more horsepower from what ive heard anyways good luck and if you do it let me know how much it cost.. please
thanx

Re: supercharger
where did you read that from... i dont remember the site i was at but it said that turbos add hp yes but not as much as a supercharger would a turbo is most comonly used b/c it adds a respectable amount of hp and is easy on the engine a supercharger on the other hand adds more hp but is harder on the engine and will cause replacement of parts sooner tha a turbo would now the 40% might have been a litte bit of an exaduration but it said it would add a little less than 100hp to the car and also keep it lighter than adding turbos but i could be wrong so if you find some info that i havnt seen please feel free to share i am always open for more information about everything.

Re: supercharger
My figures are just estimates. The reason I stated that is because I see a lot of newer model supercharged cars only pulling in 210HP. I think the 2003 Frontier is that rating, and the super charged Xterra is just over 200HP. Both super chargers and turbo chargers are forced induction systems. The benefit of turbos is that its powered by your exhaust stream while a super charger will need a belt to the engine. Of course you have your lag on turbos on lower RPM's. Now I don't have any statistics on super chargers, but where would you mount it in your engine. The only place that comes to mind is removing the A/C condenser. Hey, if it does net you 50+ HP though, go for it. That would almost make a n/a comparable to a TT. I will do some more research on super chargers, understand that I am not always correct either.

P.S. Don't be sorry if your wrong. I won't be sorry if I am.

Re: supercharger
Just a little input, i have a 94 stock, park ave, my dad has a supercharged 94 park ave. with 124000 miles. that supercharger is a dream !, burns no oil runs perf and will pur a 100 all day long. supers are great !, and is less stressfull than any other hop up of that type on your engine. AND IT ADDS RIGHT AT 45 HORSES TO THE MOTOR ! BY FACTORY SPEC'S. I know it's just a buick, but the damn thing FLY! you wouldn't believe it !! SUPER'S ARE GREAT.

Contact a rep here. They are the people that do Nissan on the new vehicle's. I had a response that they have one for the 300zx but I would need a good mechanic to basically design and fit the supercharger on the engine. It would probably mean ditching the AC. Not that much room to play.
