Stock Block 90+TT

How strong is the 90+ 300zxTT short block? Iam planing to make 500+RWHP. I was told that the stock short block can handle a good amount of horse power. Will it be able to handle my 500+RWHP goal without doing any upgrade on the shortblock?

Im relativley sure the stock pistons and such can tolerate 500 rwhp i think its anything beyond that point that becomes a little edgy. But if your going to put out the money to create 500 rwhp then why wouldnt you upgrade the bottom end while you were at it?

The car only has 77K miles on it and it was well taken care of except for minor cosmetic dings and dents. I don't wanna waste money on building the stock bottom end if it can handle my desired 500+RWHP goal. I will invest that money instead on exhaust system, turbo upgrade, better flowing heads, cams etc...etc... well you know what I mean.

Rods, crank and block are near bullet proof. The pistons are cast and will be the first things that will go if anything blows. 500rwhp is definately doable with a stock bottom end.

are you trying to build a race car or a street car. if it's your daily driver 500hp's might be a bit much. sitting in the traffic, overheating....but then light turns green and you step on it.... And everyone else looks like they are standing still as they dissapear in your rear view mirror.....man that sounds fun, anyway, what was i trying to say

Long Blocks includes the heads and everything that comes with the heads aka: valves, cam etc.. etc..
Short Block is everything without the heads. To have a visual comparissn go to one of the sponsors site and click on their engine packages it will show you in details what comes with shortblock and longblock.

I also have a 99 Trans Am w/500+RWHP and I drove it daily with no problem aslong as I don't get on the gas every stoplight. I you wanna feel what torque is this car will pull you back on your seat. I live in Plano Texas to see Supras, Vipers, Cobra, Vettes and some Exotic cars almost everyday around here I think my 500+RWHP is not enough The guy who owns a 10sec Z32 in TT.net lives in Plano Texas also.
