Starting
Some times my car cranks to long before it starts. I notice if I put my foot on the gas and hold it to the floor it then kicks over.
Sometimes I don't have to do that and it will start right up???
Cleaned both throttle bodies, brand new plugs, new air filters,
Fuel filter looks brand new. Car has 156,000 on it and very well maintained. Everything was done on schedule. It must be fuel related? Help, 90 N/A

Re: Starting
I just had a new starter put on my 91 na a week ago, this might be your problem, i dont really know. Mine would not start sometimes then i tried again until it started. It was hitting a bad spot on the starter sometimes. Now it cranks right up. It is probably air or fuel related because you have to give it gas to start. So it might be starter or might not. Hope this helps.

Re: Starting
I appreciate the suggestion but no it's not the same. It cranks ok it just cranks to long before it starts. It is the "normal" starting sound. Just does not turn over. Almost sounds like it's not going to. Once I hit the pedal then it starts/

Re: Starting
With as little knowledge that I have at this point about the 300, I agree with you. After visiting many sites and reading i too thought the same thing. I kind of ruled out the fulepump since it is in the gas tank plus I read they were just about indestrutable! I also notice when the car is cold in the morning, when it first starts it is very rough. Feeling like it is not firing on all. Once it warms up it is fine just still have the problem with the extended starting issus mentioned above. I will eventually go on it's own. But I can hurry it along buy using the pedal. I have to hold it to the floor. That also made me consider that it is getting to much fuel and needs more air?
