Will an 80 amp 12 volt alternator from an 84-89 z be compatible with the 93 since it is the same amp and voltage???

 

some how I strongly doubt it. it's liek askign if Z31 5 ligs and Z32 5 lugs are compatible.

 

ummm.... the 5 lugs from the z32 fit on the z31 no problem, and the z33 wheels fit on both.

 

now that's jsut wrong I feel stupido.

I would assume the bracket is different, so I don't think so, why not try asking on z31.org?

 

Don't know for sure, but if it were mine, I'd go with Z32-spec parts on a Z32. There are some corners I'm afraid to cut and electrical system is one of them. When you get electrical system problems, sometimes it's like you've got a gremlin living in your car--you fix one thing and three other things don't work all of a sudden.
