questions about my rebuild etc.
I am rebuilding my motor and want to get new injectors and I need to know what kind of injectors that I need I know that I want to get 1000cc injectors but I am not sure what kind and what I need or should get. and I also want to know what the bolt pattern is for a 1990 Z and if there is any difference between the turboed version and the NA version and I also want to get an EGR delete kit but im not sure what I need for the kit and what comes in one
Hello
First off is your Z a Twin Turbo or NA?
Second, what kind of HP goal do you have in mind?
Third, what bolt pattern are you talking about? The injectors or the wheels?
The EGR Delete Kit comes with a couple vacuum line plugs, 2 block off plates for the intake plenum where the egr lines hook up, and a bolt plug for the line that goes into the drivers exhaust manifold.

Well first off what size injectors depends on what kind of HP goals. I've always heard with our cars that the size of the injector is close to how much hp they support.
If you're looking for 1000cc injectors and running only 400 hp it is a big waste. I am running 615cc at about 350-375 whp. So they are not running at max, but at the same time I'm not over killing it either.
As far as brand goes, it depends on your taste really. I used JECS. The saying you get what you pay for is very true when it comes to aftermarket parts for our cars. So don't go extremely cheap and expect a good quality part.
The wheel bolt pattern is 114.3 mm.

if I were to get 1000cc injectors the only reason I would get them is so that I wouldn't have to take apart most of the upper motor to get at them if I surpass what the injectors are rated for. if I did get them and say run 400-500 hp for the time being would it wreck the injectors?
There are "real time" tunable ECUs on the market (very expensive), but what people usually mean by a tuned ECU is actually the same ECU but the EPROM chip has been replaced with one that has been programmed for a certain setup and for certain characteristics. Just need the right one from a reliable source and you're good to go.
Rupe is correct. Just also know that a reprogramable ECU and a good dyno tune is the best way to go. However you can manage with the EPROM chip replacement. If you are going with a high hp build it would be better for you to get it tuned instead of chipped.
I don't know if you really know how much money you are looking at getting into to do a 1K HP build. If you ordered the stage 4 motor from z1 you are looking at $14k alone. Then you will have to have a Stand Alone, fuel pumps, transmission that can handle the power, clutch, flywheel, 1 piece drive shaft, suspension that can keep the wheels on the ground, wheels and tires wide enough to grip, bigger brake system to be able to stop the car and much more.
I know if you do it yourself and buy the parts separate and build yourself it will be cheaper, but not by much. To do a 1k HP build you are probably looking at $30k+.
Not trying to scare you away from it, but it takes a lot of money to build these cars. I've got about $7k into my motor and only pushing about 400 HP. I really hope you can achieve your goal. That would be very awesome.
