Question Regarding 120k Maintenance

Just bought a 96 300zx NA 2+2, which I don't believe has been driven consistently since 2015 and has not been started for around 10 months due to a broken water pump. My question is this, I know it will need the 120k Maintenance kit but I want to make sure it runs good before investing more into the engine. Should I be good to run it on a stand for a few minutes with the current timing belt and pulleys or should I go ahead and do the 120k maintenance before even attempting. I think I should be good but want some other opinions on this.

Update: doing a compression test to see if the engine is worth investing into. I'll follow up here with the results.
