Problem installing Ducted Front Panel on 300zx(z32)

Hello,

Looking for any help.

I got a Ducted Front Panel:

http://www.kaminari.com/nissan-300zx...panel-frp-1990

that replaces the stock Front/Center Panel (where the Nissan emblem was).

After it was painted, the body shop removed the rubber piece from the old one. I think there are just 2 bolts that holds it on. But it did not fit because the stock Airbox and Air Sensor was too high since the new nose panel has a an indentation near the middle for the Duct.

The Nose/Center panel is between the lights and covers the Airbox.

The stock Airbox (plastic) on my 1995 300zx z32 N/A has an Air Sensor Module that the new Panel hits and wont fit sit down as normal.

I was looking at possibly trying a JWT Pop Charger (Single Cone Air Intake) that replacing the stock Airbox. The Air Sensor then attaches to the new assembly but I am not sure the clearance will be enough for the new Nose Panel to fit?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

That's your cars way of protecting itself from tasteless mods.

But yes, there would be clearance if you went with a JWT POP Charger (good choice, by the way - best intake on the market).
