plugs on top of engine

i noticed today that my 4 or so eletrical plugs that u see on top of the engine that have a little plastic covers; on mines all of those little plastic coverings are somewhat cracked or broken.

--- whis is a wild guess, but is it possible that this is a sign too much electricity ran through the wires? maybe as i was driving a fuse blew or something and caused my engine to fail?

has this ever happened to any one? u driven your car like usually, and suddenly the car starts slowing down. u floor the gas and the engine roars like it's doin 90 mph, but it barely accelerated 10mph. in 10 more seconds u can't accelerate at all, and your car rolls to a stop. and cuts off (or maybe it cut of before then...) this ever happen to anyone?

Are you talking about the coil pack connectors? They crack and break from heat. If one is not making a good connection the corresponding cylinder will not run. You can buy new connectors to fix the problem. I assume this is what you're talking about ----> http://www.conceptzperformance.com/C...2468.53.174.49

Considering where the cracks are in the plastic, it might be possible that they are shorting to the valve cover or ?????. When it gets dark out, fire up your engine, open up the hood and have a look around. Try moving different wires around. If you see any arcing or sparks, you found one of your problems.
