overheating issue

so after looking through for any similar problems and ripping apart my engine to check and test all the parts I come here for help. My 90 NA had a bit of an upset the other day while i was driving, it was running at normal temps and when I accelerated (nice and lightly) i heard a kind of pop and crackle almost like running over a grocery bag. engine instantly started heating up with normal being around 50% of gauge and it rising to about 80-90% of gauge. i tried to drive it home since i was about a mile away, and it started pluming steam out. i didn't get a great chance to look it over that night since it was already dark, but later I gave it some fresh coolant and didnt see any dripping, then let the motor run to heat it up and it started hissing and putting out steam from what seemed like the water pump. So after ripping the whole front end practically off the car and getting the brand new looking water pump out(i bought the car about 3,000 miles ago) it checked out fine. Blades inside looked good, the seeal looked good, no rust or debris in the coolant when i drained it, and no wobble from bearing going out. checked thermostat and it opens around 180, so no problem there. Also, the hoses all looked fine with no holes and even the upper and lower tubes looked good and had a good seal on them. Oil doesn't look milky and no power loss with leaves me believing its not a head gasket issue. so now i come here looking for any ideas or help into solving my problem. I will add though, even though i havent had any dripping/ leaking issues, it was putting out some light steam the morning of afte ri made it to work which is about a 30 mile/ hour long commute, so i put in about a 1/4 to a 1/3 of a gallon of antifreeze which topped the radiator off. so thank you for reading this if you did and thanks id advance for any and all help.

Check for the troublesome throttle body coolant lines.
