need help for idle problem

well.. I bought a Z32 N/A with AT for a year now and it always has an idle problem like when I put my gear to 'P' or 'N' the idle will go to 1500 and when the engine is warm it drops down to 1000 and If I put the gear to 'D' or 'R' it will drop to 600-800, so I tried to adjust the screw but it doesn't work so I left it like that for a year, but few days ago it has some serious idle problem like..even when the engine is warm already when I put to gear 'D' the idle go to 1000 like normal but I could feel that it's not really 1000 even the gaudge says 1000 but the engine rev like around 2500 and yeah again.. adjusting the screw doesn't work at all so I take my car to local auto repair shop around my house and they said the break booster is leaking so there's some air get into it and that's why my car has idle problem so they change the brake booster and when I picked up the car this evening the car was working just like before 1500 at 'P' and 'N' when the engine is cold and drop down to 1000 when it's warm and when put to 'D' or 'R' it drops down to 600-800. but to night when I drove the car and i kicked back the gas pedal hard my car had the idle problem again but this time when I put the gear to 'P' or 'R' it idle at 1500-1600 and when put to 'D' or 'R' the idle go to 1000 but the engine rev like 1300-1500 so anyone has idea what's breaking which parts should I look at? and it'd be great if you can tell me how to fix it too

thank you very much
Joe

Do a search for 'high idle'

This is a very common problem with many possible solutions. You may have a vacuum leak, your TB's and IACV may need cleaning, the TPS or throttle linkage may be out of adjustment. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
