Yes. And it's always retarded. RB26 is a smaller engine and the swap costs generally upwards of $20k to do it right. LS1/LT1 will cost far too much as well, and the dollar/power ratio is dominated by the VG30DETT (also ignoring that it's blasphemy to put a domestic engine in an import). etc.

When TwinTurbo.NET's bookmarks are back online, I'll post quotes from a guy who's just finishing his RB26 swap... quotes like "if I could do it all over again, I'd stay with the VG30DETT."

why do you want to talk to someone that's seen it? there are not a whole ton of them around. there's a guy on tt.net right now who is finishing up his swap and is pretty much regretting starting it. you could find it pretty quick on there if you searched it. it's only a couple weeks back.

Then the point of this post was what? Just to say "hey, did you know that other engines fit in the Z32 chassis?"

Newsflash, we've been around for years... we've probably seen much more of what can be and has been done to the Z32.

you'll end up in the turbo swap for less money if you just sell your n/a and buy a tt.

the tt will be worth maybe 25% more than the n/a in the same condition, but in order to do a good turbo swap, you'll be in for between 100% and 250% of the value of your n/a by the time it's finished.

yea just got done rebuilding it. 900 for the car, 100 bucks for crank bearings and connecting rod bearings. pistons okay, piston rings forgot how much wasnt much oem ones. Oil jets set 2 like 7 buck each at nissan. power sterring pump 50ish high pressure side, head gasket 50 again. i think exhuast gaskets was cheap. mani gasket 17. new timing/ all belts 50ish not sure exactly. hydraulic idler was new replaced before me. Pan gasket 10. 2 cam seals 20. oh clutch, pressure plate, throw bearing 200 or about there. Got two coil packes free, spark plugs. alll fluids change expect tranny and rear diff. I got the car with valve ticking and bad bearings, and the kid was leaving for the navy go to japan so he wanted it gone.lucky me

Yea somewhere between 1300 to 1380. Forgot about the stuff i did this last weekend so about 1400 max. I got scratchs on trunk panels plastic ones im looking for those. And body work. faded color so paint is need. idk if i should get bodykit. Thinking oh rims. im sure if i take good care of the car since it pretty decent shape now ill have a reliable car to drive around. just save up and plan whats next.

none of those guys have a clue, doesn’t cost no where near 20k done the right way, I’m fully forged and not even near 10K in parts. You just have to take your time, it’s cost 4500 for the swap to be done, the most cost will be your parts and mounts. I’m aiming for 600Hp

I'm looking for a place to swap my motor from my 93 convertible to a tt. Motor was fine although was having injector problems. I pulled it and the trans. But rather buy the new motor, send it out and have it done right. Realize new motor trans and harness about 6500. partly why rather keep spending to make sure its done correctly. grew up with the car and want to get it back on the road for me and my quickly growing kids to enjoy. In NJ.
