i'm in the market for a twin turbo....i cant stop thinking about them...holy god they are so bad ***....anyways...if i were to get a new chip and relieve the top speed limiter (as well as other things i guess...) what would the top speed of a......say.....a 92 TT stock be? (well, besides the chip).....thanks....and anyone know any 0-60 times...quarter mile times??thanks

 

The top speed of a TT is about 155mph (250kmh), 0-60 is in the 5's and 1/4 mile is in the 14's (not sure on the last)

 

without a limiter, you can get it up to about 170.

 

From what my GPS says a bone stock 1995 5speed TT with the limiter removed runs 167+ mph and that was on a level 2 lane highway and was the best of three runs at 78 degrees and 54 feet above sea level. My 1994 Toyota Supra TT ran 183 mph in the same conditions but I never did get to base line itwhen it was stock with just the limiter removed. Plus the supra was BPU++ at about 413RWHP and 421 torque.

 

Damn, yall are flat out crazy. Where I live you get jail time for speeds over 100. A little stoplight racing is one thing, but 150+ on a highway is just plain dumb.

Having a really high top speed is useless. 60ft, 0-60, 1/4, those are more reasonable ways to measure performance. Plus, after a certian speed, things seem like theyre slowing down anyways.
