Help!!! fuse blows.....then limp mode

I have a 90 300zx na 2+2. It has 118,000 miles on it. I have had it at 3 mechanics and no body can fix it. OK here it goes. There is a 10amp fuse under the drivers side dash that supposedly controls the automatic transmission, the cruse control module, the ABS, some rear lights, the shift lock, and it also says ignition on the panel. (you would think it also controls the space station). Any way, that fuse blows pretty consistently but not with a particular action. When it blows the car goes into limp mode and the shift lock must be used to get it out of park. Please give me advise if you can.

It's going to come down to you doing a LOT of electrical diagnosis, because I'm sure you have a short somewhere and we can't tell you where through the internet. I'm actually gonna recommend posting on twinturbo.net in the tech forum for this one...

Your best bet would be to track down and disconnect all of the harness connectors in that circuit, ie: the automatic transmission, the cruse control module, the ABS, some rear lights, and the shift lock. Then with the fuse removed, start checking for continuity between each connector pin and ground. Except for any specific ground wires, If continuity exists, you've most likely found your short.

If you want to spend extra money on fuses, you can disconnect all of the connections, then install a new fuse. At that point the fuse should not blow. If it does, you'll have to search in a different manner, and you have a different shorting problem. If the fuse doesn't blow, then plug in each connector, one at a time, until you find which one causing the fuse to blow.

Once you narrow down which circuit has the short, you'll then need to troubleshoot that circuit.

Does any one know where to find a wiring diagram on line that is legible? I have been to DTA Motorsports and the text is not readable. Thanks for all help and continued ideas. By the way I have posted at twinturbo.net and no response. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
