fuel pressure??

icon_super: wanted to up my fuel pressure on my car i installed a new exhaust and intake. my car is a n/a and was wonderin if anybody knew how many fuel pressure regulators to get it. It looks like this car has 2, one on each side of the fuel rails or do i need one and that controls the other?? also what is a good fuel prssure to run?

You have one fuel pressure regulator and one fuel damper. On your relatively stock engine, I wouldn't recommend increasing the fuel pressure. The amount of fuel injected into each cylinder is controlled by the ecu, the injector pulse width, and the pre-determined amount of pressure supplied to the injector. Increasing thr fuel pressure will cause more fuel to be injected during the injector pulse than the ecu is programmed for,

Just my $.02

But increasing fuel pressure and get your ECU programmed for it and you will see gains. but as CC says dont do this to a ECU that is not programmed for it!

Increasing fuel pressure on a relatively stock car won't really do anything.

It can cause a rich condition if the pressure is increased too much. It pushes more fuel past the injectors for the given amount of time they are open in comparison to having less pressure pushing the fuel through.
