electical problem

I'm having a problem keeping the battery charged. Something's draining it. If i drive the car all day its fine, but as soon as i try to start it after its been sitting all night NOTHING! I know the battery's ok its a brand new Optima. Anyone have any Ideas? Has anyone heard of the electrical part that was recalled for the z's? I forget the name of it. Could that be causing my problem? Any help would be great.

The recall

The recall was the power transistor. Not sure if it could cause a battery drain but if yours was not replaced now would be a good time. Call 1-800-nissan-1 to check and see if yours has been fixed by the dealer.

Hey, something just like this happened to me about 5 months ago. You gotta have your alternator checked. It may be putting out just enough power to let the car run all day like that, but it may also be the source of the problem, discharging your new battery within hours. That's what mine was doing. Good luck, Diego.
