in a dilemma...
a lot of things needs to be done to my car...
to be exact i have two 300zx.. they're both the same year but one is an automatic 2+2 and the other one is a manual coupe...
my friend crashed my 2+2 in the front right corner of the car and damaged the body frame.. the engine is fine luckly didn't go that far...
the coupe's problem..
large amounts of coolant is leaking straight from the exhaust pipe... i assume that the whole engine block has cracked or at least damaged head gaskets..
also the front right wheel was hit and the whole wheel is tilted...
the ecu doesn't respond whatsoever doesn't even power up...
non of the gauges on the dash board work..
with these problems i was wondering what you could suggest to me... i am willing to use any of my car as a donor car to fix up any one of them...
if you would have to ask me for my preference... i prefer a 2+2 with a manual transmission, if that would help in anyway...
so if you could tell me what car i should keep and which one i should use as a donor car i would really appriciate it..
thank you for your time

Re: in a dilemma...
I guess it depends on the damage to the frame. If the 2+2 is too badly damaged, you may have chronic tire wear problems. Plus frame work is kinda expensive as well. Also converting the auto to a manual would be extra work and I'm not sure how good it turns out. The easiest thing would be to use the 2+2 as the donor and you could have a 5spd with a good engine and you'd have all the parts to fix the bent suspension components. I'm like you and like to have the back seats but still I would go with fixing the coupe because of the bent frame.

Re: in a dilemma...
thanx a lot for the help...
i was talkin to one of my friend and he said that my car has a possiblilty that the frame can be replaced since it might be a sub frame that is like a bolt on type...
is this true with the 300zxs?? is the frame that goes across on top a bolt on type??
