So out of the blue my car has trouble starting cold. I have to turn the key 3 times before it actually starts. But once its on, it runs perfectly. This happens when I try to start it up for the first time and then also after 30 minutes of it being on. No check engine light, checked starter, alternator, battery, cam sensor, spark plugs and everything is in working order. I dont know if this is related but my temp guage is always in the center the instant I turn it on and when I finally turn the car on it sometimes smells like gas. Please help.

So the starting problems was linked to the fuel damper and fuel pressure regulator. They were sucking in gasoline were there should only be air.
