Which Clutch should I get?

I need to replace my clutch. I want a clutch good for daily driving and some weekend track usage nothing real heavy duty. I do have a lot upgades and the stock OEM clutch will not do any good. I will be replacing my flywheel with an aluminium flywheel. The two clutches I am looking at are Both are stage 3 clutch kits, One is XTD stage 3 clutch kit. The other is F1 stage 3 clutch kit. When I say "kit" it comes with throw out bearings and pressure plate and alighnment tool. Does anyone know which clutch is better. Or are they both the same. Which would you recommend? They both are real close in price and holding strength. So my question is which is better? Thank you or any input you can give.

dont cheap out on the clutch, that XTD and F1 stage 3 clutches are as good as the OEM clutch, I think my brother bought one of those when he was short on money and i think hes gonna have to buy a proper one this time and change it out. I told him to get an ACT clutch and fidanza flywheel or whatever it is.

thats what i was gonna say. ACT. or even exedy. and i support fidanza till death for the flywheel. they make one that weighs like 13 pounds or somehting. plus you dont need to resurface them right? dont they have replaceable surfaces? i might be thinking of a different company for that though.

that was the exact flywheel I'm getting. It does have replacable surfaces. I've heard exedy clutches are sorda cheap (quality wise) is that true.

JWT Heavy Duty Street clutch is still holding for me and stock feel. I'm pushing over 400tq as well.

RPS has the segmented flywheel that has replaceable sections.

RPS, JWT, ACT are all good reputeable companies that have good reputations for their clutches. never heard of F1 and no reviews that i know of on the XTD.

I had a really bad experience with the early RPS clutches, the pressure plate was just too much.

- 3 slave cylinders (blew seals)
- 2 slave cylinder hoses (blew hole in hose)

etc, etc...

In the end I replaced it with the JWT heavy dutry street clutch and didn't look back.

I have done some searching on XTD to see if I could findout anything about their quality. I have seen numerous reports of people holding 400+tq on an XTD for 20k mi with no problems. On the other hand, I have seen several reports from people pushing only around 200 or so in their stock hondas where the XTD stage3 went out on them.

From what I have been reading of people's first hand reports, it would appear that the XTD is indeed a fine clutch to use in most cases. There seem to be some quality control issues that crepe up and bite people in the *** though. So you're kinda taking a chance on getting one of the 80% or so that are good clutches, or that other 20% that are bunk.
