in that case ...stick with what you have...get an ecu, and a 50 shot of nitrous oxide. so whenever you get that urde for that extra "grunt" push the magic button and get a few ponies under your belt.

Heck, do everything performance wise then except keep the auto. This might be a free mod that will provide a lot of gain...check out what it did for the guy's NA on the link.

oops, ya sorry...read that wrong. But I'm sure it'll be a few free horses for everyone...including NAers. And even if it is only 4-5 hp...how much did you pay for it? none. Good deal to me. That's about how much an intake gives an NA. Maybe a little less.

If you follow the tech and maybe do some other research...you could possibly do it yourself. If you don't feel comfortable.....somebody hook this guy up. How bout your boy with the TT?

Are there any Z specialty shops in your area? How about any tuning shops that have an inhouse dyno? The tech says you could do it w/o the dyno...but I'm the same as you...no way I'd do it w/o one and take a risk with my Z. But look around.

Another thing to consider when advancing your timing is that your car is likely to ping in cold weather since the air more dense. If you take you car and have them tune it now, it may run fine, but once spring and summer come, you may come across a detonation problem. You can definitely do it yourself if you know how to check timing. The car should be at 15 degress BTDC. Kick it up one degree at a time, then take a test run. If you hear detonation, then back it off a degree.

Taht's exactly what it said in the link....that's why I was saying that you could do it yourself w/o a dyno. How much is he charging you?

Hell just the time spent and cost of gas for a 120 mile round trip almost isn't worth it. I must actually know something about this since I didn't read the link. Haha.

Yup, it's almost official. The only thing is, I can't really get away with using it at work. It's not "PC" enough I guess. Corporate America is too uptight. Just so it doesn't sound like we're getting off topic I'm throwing in this bit of advice when using the new catch phrase,.....timing is everything.
