Changing from Narrow 2 Wideband 02 sensor?

I am running with a narrow band Autometer WB02 Guage (that does not appear to be worth anything, b/c it reads all over the map). In order to change to a wideband guage, do I need to purchase a Wideband 02 sensor along with the wideband guage (I plan to get the one with digital and bar graph readings). If so, do I need to buy the whole WB02kit or are there things that I can keep from the narrow band setup?

yup. if you got a wideband O2 guage you need a wideband O2 sensor.

the LM1 and LM2 seem to be pretty popular these days. i was going to go with those if i ever got around to my stand alone build.... which i didnt....

... he has seen the LIGHT!!!

... well, he's seen the discolight for what it really is at least.

Welcome to the world of functional mods. Yes, you'll probably need a wideband gauge in addition to the sensor. The narrowband kit is most likely completely useless for your newly found sensible gauge.

IIRC you can run a wideband O2 with the Autometer AF gauges. It will read and show up with the correct reading, but you might as well spend the money to get the fully functional numeric readout of the newer gauges.
