Auto motor.

Got the new motor, I need to remove the piece where the trans goes, not sure how to do that.

Honestly i just picked it up and put it in my driveway so im going to go out there and take a look at it and what not, switch over some parts and so on.

Im sure someone knows the answer this real quick.

How do I pull it out?

Thanks!

dude what? are you talking about the parts with the bottom bell housing bolts? or the flex plate or whatever an auto has instead of a flywheel?

ya know... that "piece" where the trans goes... that's pretty clear!

Unless that "piece" is a "piece" like what Snoop Doggy-Dogg carries around...

What's a gun doing where the trans goes?!?!?!?

thats for an auto tranny.. if using an auto tranny.. leave it.. if using a manual just chisel it out and put the required piece for a manual tranny.

I dont want to sound naive but, chisel it out?

There isnt a part that came off of the manual tranny or on the motor either that looks like it would just kind of go there.

I dont want to risk damaging anything either.

you need a pilot bushing for a manual tranny...

the nismo is 15 dollars... http://www.conceptzperformance.com/C...824.144.57.110

the stock one is 6 bucks http://www.conceptzperformance.com/C...824.144.57.110

I broke 2 non nismo ones putting it in... what's in there now is an auto tranny pilot convertor... http://www.conceptzperformance.com/C...824.144.57.110

yes chisel it out, be careful about it..

when putting the pilot bushing in, use a wooden dowel to tap it in...

Oh ok. Thats a better way of explaining it, thats a lot.

I just had my clutch done and a new pilot bearing was put in so maybe ill just pull that one out and use it in the new motor since its new.

Couldnt i used a pilot bearing puller?

If that's the route you take. I wouldn't reuse any of those pieces. They are cheap so might as well get a new one.. Like I said, I broke 2 new ones installing them... they are very brittle.
