well if you had holes there where air goes into the engine after the AFM and the air filter....wouldn't you have all kinds of junk and dirt in your engine, and it would prolly show when you change your oil, and i am sure it wouldn't run pretty smooth either... i'll check my pipes tomorrow when i am play driving and i'll let you know

I figure it's a hose clamp that's come loose. If it is sucking in un-filtered air, it's not enough to cause damage. I wouldn't estimate it to be any more than a vacuum leak would. I'll be able to get to it when I install the new oil cooler.

by the way...don't you mean MAF? (mass airflow sensor) And I don't know where they go to. But I might have the same problem as you do. I have an air leak somewhere and I think it may be there.

Actually, I think you mean MAS, not MAF.

Nope, it's the MAF. MAS seems more logical, but it's referred to abbreviated as the MAF. Weird, but whatever.

do this then. Go to any Z forum, search MAF and count your results that pop up. Then search MAS or AFM and count those results. The rest of the Z communtiy tends to call it a MAF, but to me it's more logical to call it a MAS as well.

JWT intake

I just installed a JWT cone intake filter on my 90 2+2. Steve at Rising Sun Performance in Ft. Worth, Texas let me steal it from him for only $110. I disconnected my battery for about 20 min. while I ripped out the original box. Once installed I gave it a short test run and HOLY CRAP the differance is awsome. Any suggestions on proper cleaning for future ref.?--By the way I also got a set of Sus. Tech. rear sway bar bushings and installed them. Very nice. Each mod. took less than 30 min. and has made a world of differance. Steve was very helpful and has numerous spare parts if anyone needs to contact him (817-731-6092 or risingsunperformance.com).

cleaning a pop charger is just like cleaning a K&N filter element. Go buy the K&N filter recharger kit for about $10 at your local parts store. Then follow the directions on the box or these:

take note of the "Do Not's"

If you think that's good, get a good ECU.
