toucheless car washes are better, but hand is best, soft clothes good soap, no high pressure water on pain or brissles... or tracks to scrape your under carriage

im not posotive cause i havent seen at the shop a 92 in year's. .but. .if u have an electronic mas air flow meter. .try taken it out and cleaning the thread. .wit like brake cleaner only. .and just blow it out. .dont touch it or nething. .put it back together and see if that fixed the prob. .if possable hit up a junk yard and pic up a used one and try it. .shoudln't be expenisve. .and try it out. .then see if the problem persists. .i'll try to look up some tsb's in my shopkey for you. .

Thank you all for such great support. However I have tried most of the suggestions without success. I will try and take it out and clean it as you suggested, and hopefully that will take care of it.

Remove and clean the IACV (Idle Air Control Valve).

The tape on the filter cures most cases (the problem with pop chargers is turbulent air giving the MAS a bad reading), but occasionally it is a bad part. Cleaning the MAS is a good idea as well.

When you let off the throttle, the air that gets into the engine gets in through the IACV. If it's got a lot of buildup, it won't allow sufficient air and will choke the engine.
