good topic

I'd have to go with the power potential of the Supra. The handling characteristics of the RX-7 and the styling of the Z. Nothing about the Mitsu appeals to me, not even the AWD was really that great on that car. The Z was the roomiest of them all and the better interior IMHO. The Z as an overall package blows away all the others. It hasn't been over exposed by a couple of hollywood movies that will remain nameless, that coincidentally have raised the already high resale value of late model Supras. Z's also haven't gotten a bad reputation for blowing up engines due to cooling problems like the RX-7's. As far as the Mitsu's go, does anyone really care? Personally, I go to damn near every car show that Chicago has to offer and I have yet to see one even slightly modded. It's almost as if everyones more or less forgotten about it. I had a friend that owned one that is a mechanic by trade and even he didn't like it. I've driven one and I'm not a big guy, only 5'10" about 180lbs. and I found the cabin quite small and cramped. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed. That's why I own a Z. High quality, high performance and high stylin' what more could you ask for?

Actually the rotary is an interesting motor

Although I think I'd like to start with the much new and very much improved Renesis engine found in the new RX-8. You know that new Mazda that outhandled the newer but slightly inferior Z. If I had to go rotary that would be my blank canvas so to speak.

The beast

I have resently rebuilt a 20B engine, it was tough, but shes a beast. I have always been partial to the 3000gt's, that was untill I tore down the VR-4's transmission and found a bunch of **** that I couldnt touch it. Confusing **** I will say. The RX-7 (or RX-HEAVEN as I call it), is a fun car to work on, its not put together so well though. Now the Supra I will say... DAMN, for 21 g you can have a 1200 bhp BEAST! the 2jz gte engine, along with the MKIV are built like the RB26, sturdy as hell! they can handle over 700 hp before they must be tigged up. The Skyline, 89- on, are amazing cars, I sell these babies and If you ever need one, just give me a shout at Nismolmr@aol.com. Which brings me to the amazing Z. The VG30 engine is an amzing engine, (personaly I think that the VQ30DETT {nissan gloria}is a more efficient engine), the fuel system could use some work, as well as the electrical system. but other than my miticulous over analyzing, the Z is an amazing machine, from the design, to the engine, to the interior (a little plasitcy, but nice), the car is AMAZING to me and to most of the people in the forum. Well I am off my soap box. that is my story and I am sticking to it!

Rizzspeed, the RENESIS rotary engine is designed quite well, although lacking a turbocharger or any form of a natural aspiration, the way it is built it is far more efficiant than any other stock engine configuration out on the market (other than the amazing RB engines). There has been much contervercy on dipcting whether or not the RENESIS is a sports car due to its four door design. Well...... I would consider the AuTech 4 door Skyline a sports car, wouldnt you? I would consider the EVO a sports car, wouldnt you? STI WRX? My phylosophy is, " If you are happy with your car, and you designed it with your own imagination, and own ideals, then it DOESNT matter what others think" SO YES, the RX-8 is a sports car, and in my book, a very superb design, and engineered vehicle.
Peace.

I should've become an engineer I think. At least that way I'd feel a bit more comfortable in assuming the opinions that I do. Like how in green hell do you make a sports car without a B pillar, make the rear doors suicide, make the car sexy as hell, and still out handle cars that should out and out hand you back your *** and say thank you. I should've become an engineer.

Well Rizz. Im 17 and im going to attend the Auto Motive Design and Engineering department at NC STATE (best in southeast). I have been designing my own cars (not braggin, BUT THEY ARE TIGHT), on Form Z now for about 3 years. All I have to do is bump my 3.7 up to a 4.0 in two years, which is VERY possible. Peace

Congrats guys for following your dreams. If you guys graduate and stuff then I guess we'll all know our very own engineer and master mechanic. I think we all could use one of each.

Hopefully you guys will see one of my radical rides being produced one day. Its fun to dream isnt it? Sorry but I still say that my dream ride (which isnt too far in the distant future, if I can sell those cars that are in the "for sale" section right now) is an R33 4 door Skyline GTS-25T body, with a VG30DETT in her. With Renault Formula 1 Turbos on her (add up to 1200 bhp on a VG), triple intercoolers, JE pistons, connectors, valve springs, tigged up block, ported everything, and a 35 shot into each turbo. DAMN, that baby would move. If you guys want, go check out my rides for sale in the "for sale" section, there pretty cool, I just need to sell them! peace

yeah in the 3000gt I had to have the seat all the way back. I usually don't have to do that in any car. Hell, if i move the seat all the way back in my Z I can't even touch the pedals. <<<---Am I making fun of myself ? oh well, truth hurts lol
