1990 300zx probs (dont know where to look)

it all started a few days ago....

(12/5/13) car was running and driving fine

(12/6/13) went out to start my car but battery was completely dead
jumped my car off and went on my way assuming I may have left my lights on or something silly

drove it around fine all day with numerous stops

(12/7/13) went out to start my car dead AGAIN???

so I took it to advance auto parts my closest parts store and also former work place and ran a battery test

results of test = good battery just needed a charge so I charged it put it in my car and went on my way

(12/8/13) same ****
replaced my alternator for the hell of it
charged my battery went on my way

(12/9/13) I got smart and ran a parasitic drain test for the battery but it came back perfect

at this point im thinking what the hell

(12/10/13) bought a new battery and new terminals put them on started it up and immediately noticed I was running of 5cyl

drove it home and started toying with it started unplugging coil packs while it was running and looking for idle change very first one I unplugged no change in idle replaced the coil pack and tried it again still missing

I haven't been out there to see if my car will start today with the new battery but has ANYONE ever had this prob and or know what could be going on

side note when I pulled up last night it smelt like gas so I have a few working injectors laying around that im gonna toss in the cyl that I replaced the coil pack

To save yourself some time in replacing the injector, just put a screwdriver on top of the suspected injector and listen for the clicking sound of it firing. It will be very distinctive. Compare to the other injectors clicks to verify.

You can also do an ohms test on the injector with it unplugged.

If injectors are fine then I would pull the spark plug and inspect it. If all is well there then I would move on to check the PTU, CAS, MAF, TPS and VTC's.
