Hey peeps as every one knows i bought another Z =-) this one is a 1990 300zx 2 seater white exterior and greyish black cloth interior i bought it knowing it has eletrical problems.. but i didnt know the extent until after i bought it a few days later so far i have fixed up most of the problems on my own but im super puzzeled on this one hears the problem ... when i start up the car it has a RUFF start it will start but die real quickly , next thing is these crazy *** lights... the BRAKE light stays on... while the ( LIGHT ) light stays on but until i rev up to 2,000 rpm then it goes aways when i touch the gas pedal i hear a BUZZZING SOUND>.. its making me sooo... argh !!!! im ready to start pulling wires.. i need some help in all the areas ive spoken.. any body got any used parts? for this year make and model ? an nice exhaust system would be nice.. some test pipes would be nice.. headers, underdriver pully... chrome hard pipes ? anything.. strut bars? let mek now whta u got and what u want for them $$$$ thanks ,,,,

This is what caught my attention as I just had a similer problem. Do you hear the buzzing noise when the warning lights are on and if so does it sound as though the noise is coming from behind the dash? Almost as if the light itself was causing the noise?

Well....I was having issues with my alternator. SPecifically my power steering pump was leaking and dripping onto it....so I guess you could say I had two problems....but regardless the alternator was causign the battery light, the "Hey you've got a light out" light, and the brake lamp to be lit, sometimes the ABS warning light would come on as well. During this whole series of issues the buzzing noise would fluctuate with how bright the "lamp out" light was. When that lamp went off the buzz would stop. Read through the thread I linked and see if any of that sounds familier. If it does I would recommend having your service folks check out your alternator both electronically and visually to see if there is anything amiss.

i do think your right bud im going out side today with some degresser and some other solvents and its going to get and ocean bath from hell and yes i do belive the power sterring pump might be leaking onto of the alternator... ill let yall know

Dear god, just PLEASE make sure the alt is 110% moisture free before you try to fire it up again and the power sterring pump is no longer leaking. (kinda defeats the purpose of cleaning out the alt if you turn around and drip more crud into it)

alright people MY CAR IS KRAZY !!!! im about to take it out to the shooting range some times it acts like i got and car alarm on it when i dont and it starts to go off all krazy like.. emergency lights flashing and stuff then after about 5 min of me sitting there in AWWWWWW what to do ? any body elses 300zx got a sectret poltergiest ? or any body have this probem ?

Oh my car is definately possesed....does wierd crap to me all the time actually.

One time I'm driving home and hear this horrid *THUD* from under the car like I just hit a giant rock, felt it right under my *** too.....got home, jacked it up to do a visual and nothing...not a nick, not a ding, not a nuttin....

Then there was the mystery squeek that only lasted for 15 minutes......I had it completely die on my on the way to work one night....ran like crap, thought I was boned, it started the next day but tried to die on the way home, the following day it started hard but ran fine, coming home it started fine and hesitated once, then next day (the day I was going to take it to the shop) it ran fine with no issues at all and has ran fine since.

Hell just last night my fasten seat belt light came on for no good damn reason and wouldn't turn off unless I had the passanger belt fastened....that cleared up as of this morning.

You gotta LOVE these cars
