Unhappy 84 300zx Dash Lights dont work.

Ok. So, I have no Dash lights, no a/c lights, no lights on my shifter <auto>.

I have checked all the fuses and they are good. So I am pretty sure from what I have read on some other Forums that it is probably the Time Control Unit... but I have no idea where this is at and don't have the spare cash to go buy a repair manual..

So if there is anyone who can help me out with where it is located and how to properly take it out/test it that would be helpful.

I wasn't thinking it would be the headlight switch since my headlights work fine.

No dash lights? Sounds like it can be your power supply.

The headlights might work fine but since the dash lights are turn on when u turn on your headlights?
My dash lights weren't coming on. But I noticed whenever I wiggled the headlight switch they would turn on. I replaced it. And everything works great now.

Did that affect your a/c lights, key light, the light around the cigarette lighter, and Dash lights?

If it is the power supply? which and where? How can I check it?

The power supply is located right under your steering wheel it isn't that hard to change. There are a lot of write ups out there on how to change it.

i had that problem too and if i rev it they would come on with the headlight switch off and my alt. wasnt charging my battery and it turned out to be a fuseable link so we bypassed it and it worked fine after that

Oh great. Rigging a car instead of spending the couple bucks for the proper part. I feel sorry for your cars and anyone who buys one from you. Seriously. A fusible link is cheap, and they are there for a reason.
