what size is the Nissan oil filter 15208-55Y0A?

Anyone have an oil filter cap attachment for a rachet that fits the 15208-55Y0A filter?

I have an 80mm cap that ALMOST fits, but doesn't quite make it on. Stopped by my local AutoZone and they didn't have anything that fit.

Anyone know the size? Did some searching and couldn't find anything. You'd think they'd print it on the box!

I have a 5 piece filter set from Harbor Freight... never had one that wouldn't fit. If you have a tape measure or caliper, just measure diameter side to side. Use your math skillz!!

Quite honestly it looks like 80mm at the top according to my ruler, but it must flare out because my 80mm (per the part #) cap does not quite fit.

I see there are 82mm and 84mm caps on eBay and whatnot but thought maybe someone knew instead of me playing the guessing game.

Will check Harbor Freight for a kit too.

Thanks!

Lisle self-adjusting oil filter wrench

Buy one of these, and you never have to guess what filter size you have up to ~100mm. Works well with stuck on filters. The harder the wrench is to turn, the tighter it bites into the filter wall. I use this on everything from my ZX to my Ram 1500.

Lisle is just one brand of this type of wrench.

I was looking at something similar at AutoZone but wasn't sure how it kept tight. I will order this and give it a shot! Thanks!

Connects to a standard 3/8" socket wrench, so you have good leverage and can use extensions to reach "buried" filters. Put a 3/8" adapter on a 1/2" flex handle if you think you need the torque. The wrench itself has a rack and pinion gear set that pulls the jaws together as the wrench is turned backwards. Adjusts to fit the filter diameter and then digs in.
