What to do WHat to buy
I got a z32 n/a and i have a budget of $5000 that iam looking to spend...what will be the best way to spend that money what should i buy within that budget and get the best performance out of it....iam looking to buy a tt swap for 1800 engine manual tranny and harness which will bring me down to $3200....keep in mind i have an n/a with no intercooler piping , intercooler, radiator.......any ideas

a tt swap for 1800 is a scam. the N/A block won't support it very well, you don't have the cams which would be $2000, and you need a new ECU ext. the lowest number i've heard for a tt swap is 7000, that's with all stock used parts. if you are lucky. we've discussed this countless times on here. you can spend all you want of 5k on a N/A, and you still won't be faster then a stock tt. sell yours, put 5k with it, and buy a tt.

you could also look for a front clip, which should come with everything you need to do the swap. that will probably cost over $3000 to your house, and the rest would be spent on refreshing the engine and other misc parts. you could do this if youre mechanically inclined, have plenty of time and patience, and know your way around the z32 engine bay. if not, then a TT swap is out of your price range.

Yes its a vg30dett engine swap that iam buying im not trying to build the n/a... so if i buy the engine for 1800 its going to cost me $3200 on just putting it in to run like a stock tt z?...and i go to school for automotive technology ive done swaps before but on hondas never on a Z.. so i will be doing the swap myself to the best of my abilities..

well i'll still stick by the fact that it will be more cost effective just to buy a tt. you might get by doing the swap for 5k, but i personally like more insurance than that. you might buy that engine and find that it needs a bit more money put into it.

ok so let's go about answering his original question.
Let's assume you sold your NA and got a TT.
i think there's an upgrade chart around here somewhere.
I'd start there and weigh my options. Of course, don't forget that with going fast, stopping fast becomes more important. Especially with those heavy chrome wheels you have.

you can almost buy a tt z here in az for 3400.
you shoud just quit being stubborn and listen to the guys on here.
yes you may get a front clip for 3400 but you will spend another 1000 or so buy the time the motor ever gets into your car since a freshen up is most commonly done before the motor is swapped in.
so unless you have a slicktop, 2+2, or convertable dont do it.
if you sell your z and put the 3400 you have for the front clip and the 1000 extra you would need thats almost 7000 you can get a decent tt z for that and you didnt have to get dirty or deal with frustration
