why? because the jdm motor has cams that restrict hp by at least 20. so its kinda vise versa when it comes to motor swaps made from japan. so everyone who knows about this change their cams before making the swap.
its sad that the first upgrade in a honda is a motor swap
yea i cant wait for the parts to come in but the only thing is that i cant drive the car cuz my grandpa said itz a graduation gift but i grad in june 24 so untill then the car is like a tease but im happy i got it
O can any one tell me a good turbo that has tork and gives power threw all gears and whats the 300zx weakest gear is.

thats the whole reason i got this na, cause it was babied to **** from this stock broker that made his way here to maui from NY. he purchased a farm in the country side and this car wasnt farm freindly. so i had to take this car off his hands before a ricer trys to drift her into a telephone pole or something.

Also he has some club name back window banner that is just huge... I pulled next to him at the light and told him he should sell me the car, and he can keep all the mods, bc the car deserves a better owner than that. He flicked me off and started revving....needles to say he was put in his place. I almost wish he would hit a tree or something (without getting hurt) just so i don't have to see him every friday night when i am going out
I though you N/A guys might like to read this as all the dimi-gods say it won't work. Notice the compression ratio, (10.5:1) What's really amazing is these guys hold the worlds record with a N/A Z32 converted to a single turbocharged at 225MPH.

we dynoed a vg30tt saturday using stock injectors out of a 2jztt (550cc. we mod the injectors and add custom o-rings for proper fitment in the early fuel rail). these are peak and hold so we added 6.7ohm resistors in the harness. put down 435whp/375tq without a problem at 18psi.
tuned to 11.8:1 A/F with 24degrees total advance and C16 (my first tune on 10.5:1 compression with that kind of boost). dual pop, too. a little disappointed in the numbers, but it may due for a record at El Mirage. power is put down through a ford 9" rear end so we may have lost a little more whp than expected from that... though i doubt it would be THAT much extra. we need at least 75whp more to hit 200mph+ at Bonneville (long term goal for this Model T roadster).
this was a very budget engine for land speed racing. stock turbo heads/cams and stock NA Cima shortblock. all stock parts but for the JWT sport 500 turbos (used units we removed from a customer's car due to bad seals... like i said, we're on a tight budget here Smile )
thanks to Zcontrol and Extensive! And to Eric and ConZult. And to many others on this board who have contributed tidbits that we used. Watch for results from El Mirage next month for CarlsonRacing.
