the reason you guys hit a limiter at 155 is cuz the stock ecu limits top end speed at 155.
aftermarket ecu removes the top speed limiter.

i was just gonna add that ^^^^ sept i thought it was at 150 not 155.... meh

it's 155. ha ha I got the easy fix. clip the Seed sensor wire going to ECU. your cluster will still work. but your ecu wont know how fast you;re going. after that the only speed limiter is your 5th gear rev limiter.

OK. I hit 58 on my 2007 Trek NA....I was going downhill and pedaling NO wobble but scary since I was passing cars that were driving down the same hill...

I raced a LS1 on the highway one night and buried the speedometer well past the 160 mph. I told everyone that I was doing 180 but they said a 300ZXTT couldn't go that fast.

the only limit for top speed should be the powerband.
most ppl are interested in going fast from a dead stop.
top speed tends to be more dangerous and seen as dumb considering not only the trouble you could get in legally but also from accidents. not that that couldn't happen from drag racing.
i'm sure there's some limiting factors involving power, the trans, and the rear diff. it's just so dangerous that honestly, i don't care to ever really know.

i have a real feel of acomplishment when i hit 150 on the speedo and everybody is automatically getting out of the way and just the overall prolonged andrenaline rush of being in total control at 150mph

I hit 154.. would go no faster. friend with a TT claims he went 194.

i doubt he would have the ***** to go to 194, even if the car could make it, how could you tell how fast you where going without guessing?

i think i once read on here that if you were only GEAR limited in a TT 197 would be the top speed.

Kool April Nights was the week before, I went to the Hot-O-Rama. I missed KAN because of school, but apparently it rained, so im glad i didn't get out there. the Hot-O-Rama had some amauture drifting so it was probably better than KAN. Not many imports, just a 2JZ 240sx, evos, STIs, 350Zs, we( the 300zx) were under-represented. Me and a couple of my Z friends went.

My friend sam has a 90' white NA, my friend joe has 93' tt, my other friend jamal has black 500hp 92' tt, and my friend drew has a white pearlescent 93' 2+2

I think its closer to 185 Gear/red line with reprogrammed ECU im just figuring 80mph is about 3.1k rpm so 7.2k rpm would be about 185mph at 171 i wasn't looking down at the tach but it was well over 6k rpm as far as power goes...i only have about 460RWHP so that was as fast as I was going to go. If the Z goes to 8k rpm you can go closer to 206 mph (but i think you need closer to 600hp to get there). I am not sure where the rev limiter is.

he has the *****....... and i guess the only way would be to judge off the RPM's....
