Ruff idle, cuts off, back fires plz help

My problem started 9 months ago, I noticed that my car had a hard time to when it was cold outside. Once car was warm it ran fine. I found out the ignition module was bad, I changed that, and then the car ran fine, the next thing i noticed a strong gas smell in the car and i started to get hesitation and stall outs. I found out that the fuel pressure regulators were linking bad. I changed them and put after market adjustable regulators on, the hesitation and stall outs got worse. My mechanic noticed that my engine harness was worn out, so I just replaced it the other day after spending 13hrs installing the new harness I tried starting the car and it struggled. Once started i had to keep my foot on the gas pedal to keep it running. I unplugged the mass air flow sensor and the car started right up, but as soon as I plugged the sensor back up the car cut off. So I thought the sensor was bad right, I go buy a new sensor and install it last night and start it up I got the same problem. Unplug it and the car starts right up. I did notice I have a vacuum leak on one of my hoses. I need some help trying to figure out why my baby wont run right

don't you think you might want to fix that vacuum leak before you look any farther? vacuum leaks do cause problems...
