Rear Speakers Non Existent

Here's the deal... My Convertible doesn't have factory rear speakers... The previous owner just placed two 6X9's in boxes on the rear 'shelf'. My question is... where are the speakers on the non-vert Coupes??? Pictures would be great... but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Rear speakers on the hatchbacks are in the hatch.

My sub boxes curve around the mouldings that house the rear speakers...

I'm not sure where the 'factory speaker boxes' were/are in the convertibles. I'll post picture ASAP and maybe someone can give me some advice as to where they were/are.

There are none. The convertibles do not have rear speakers.

... it's a convertible... it's not like it needs as many speakers as the hatchback to fill the tiny passenger compartment with sound...

But a lot of people do add rear speakers anyway. Search around on twinturbo.net, I'm sure you'll find ideas.

MGH at 300zxclub put a nice set of speakers in his rear shelf. Under the bottom panel there is a bit of room to make your own panel and speaker mount.
