Just be careful man and if I were you I would get a racelogic traction control installed ASAP. Either that or don't drive in the rain . I have come up with a formula for you: 300zx + twin turbos + heavy foot + rain = wrecked Z. Like I said just be careful. I don't want to see you posting a thread intitled " WRECKED Z!!! ".

Jatt. Thanks for the post. I have been trying to explain to my 12 year old that the type of car I will allow him to have when he is able to drive will be dependant on how seriously and responsible he acts with respect to a particular vehicle.

You're post really helped me out.

You're new friend potentially totalled his Z in the rain...how much more evidence do you need to realize you have got to respect that machine before it teaches you a lesson?
Dude, you are playing with fire!!

You love your Z, that much is obvious. The longer you keep her safe and healthy, the longer you (and anyone around you) will stay safe and healthy and the longer you will have that Z around to keep loving.

See? Love and respect are good things!

i agree man... respect it...... heres a story for everyone..... last week i was speeding down a back road... i was going way over the speed limit... just having fun.... i was going around a turn, and my back end kicked out... no biggie... i turned into it, and punched it, i was in 4th gear... not eough power to keep it going to straiten out... so it overcorrected, and i turned into it again... no biggie.... until my tire blew out.... i had it going and was about to save it until my tire blew out, and my front tire hit a little bank of dirt on the side of the road... it pulled me up the hill, and i rolled my Z... my car is now totaled careful with your z's... ive take that turn i dont know how many times before at the same speed.. but this one time my tire blew out and i totaled my car... thank god nobody was around when it happened, and i cralled out of the car.... people that came were feaking out, and stuff... but i was fine, and i was all alone... remeber, unexpected things can happen when your out just having fun, unfortunitly, i had to learn that the hard way... be careful guys, it sucks looking at your Z laying on its roof

It is way too early in the day for me to be banging my head against my desk. You're certainly not being very responsible with your Z. Apparently you haven't been listening to what we've been telling you. Just an FYI, breaking traction is not difficult to do in any car when the pavement is wet. I could do it in my MG and my Mom's Volvo wagon. Why are you doing it? Do you think you're cool when you do it? On the contrary,....you're an ignorant *** by doing it. If a cop sees you doing it, he'll likely write you up for wreckless driving and exhibition of speed. Your insurance would likely double with those offenses. You'll also wind up in the same predicament as your friend with the totalled Z. breaking traction on wet pavement will still cause your tired to wear out faster than if you weren't breaking traction. Have you [priced out a set of tires yet??? If not, then start saving. Tires are expensive on these cars. Here's something to think about....what are people at school saying about the other Z owner????? Probably something along the lines of...."What a dumbass." Do you want them to say that about you when you give some big Oak tree a hug with your front wheels? I didn't think so. I personally don't care if you do, but wht you're doing is putting others at risk. Try to be a bit more responsible.

I seem to remember discussing something along the lines of a "tree wrapping ceremony" in the 1st thread you started. Don't make us actually have one.

TT dan....when did your accident happen?

Do I even want to know?

CC- It's not by choice anymore. The quote in my signature about not doing things over is sometimes an achilles heal of mine. Call it obsessive/compulsive disorder if you like. I prefer not to. I have a few beers and tell myself, "Oh hell, screw it. You'll be happier when it's done anyways."

No way! Sorry to hear about the death of your Z32. Sounds like you walked away basically unhurt, physically. I'm sure it's a different story emotionally.

What tires did you have on it???

I was in a minor fender bender in this one, but that's it. That was 4 years ago.

Dam dude, did you have the t-tops off? Lucky you didn't get squished or paralyzed..Hope everything works out for you. I know what it's like to see your Z wrecked, makes you feel sick to your stomach that you have damaged such a beautiful car. I felt like I lost a friend when I lost mine because my life pretty much revolves around import cars especially the Z32.

Man... that sucks.. it's like u bent every panel of the car.... save those t-top shades ...you can sell them off on ebay for like $100...and some other little things like that...they will help you pay for your future mods and stuff... it's a shame, your Z looked pretty clean, but i am glad to see that u have a good attitude about things. I was the same way in my crash... it's just a car, well it might be a car u really love, but it's just a bunch of metal and leaky t-tops, corroted connectors, clogged up injectors, and other little annoying things. You will get another one... you are a Z driver, and like porsche comercial say...."there is no substitute" , and i feel the same way about the Z's. That is awesome that u found another one. Good luck man
