Newb intro

Greetings all,
I am new to the site just thought i would introduce myself.
Picked up what was my dream car in the 90's but could not afford then.About 6 months ago i spotted a 94 TT, on ebay with 46,000 original miles.Well after numerous phone calls to the dealer that was selling it in texas(i'm in florida)i took the plunge and bought it.I had him end the auction early when i asked him what his selling price was 13,500.Well in florida this car in this condition runs from 15,000-17,000.So i jumped on it!I was kinda worried since i only saw pictures of her. This was the first time i bought a car sight unseen.Well lucky for me the car was in better condition than i could have hoped for.Apparantly a doctor had owned her.The car spent most of its time in a garage. What a diffrence it makes when you keep a car out of the sun.
After taking deleivery of the car i immediatly took it to my local Nissan dealer. This was the only car i've ever had work done to that the mechanics all huddled around to look at. They were amazed at the condition of the vehicle. They went over the car from one end to the other.Changed every fluid,Engine oil,Coolant,Trans,Differential,Brake fluid,Power sterring fluid. They found ever thing in perfect order. So i consider my self quite lucky.
Intresting note though. They claim that this year Z (94) has timing belts than can go to 105,000. I think i am going to change them any way since the car is 12 years old.I am surprised Nissan did not recomend this.Considering the consequences.Well there it is.Another proud z owner. By the way Twin ta tas was my wifes idea 36DD.

the manual for my '95 says 60k for the TT, 105k for the NA. still, good idea to change it.

and welcome to the site. sounds like you got a great car there.

Timing belts don't wear out early, but they definetly don't last 105k miles. Congratulations on your find btw.

P.S. Timing belts on the TT are only good for 60k, if you are already doing work and plan to drive it then I would suggest to go ahead and change it while you are doing the work now.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Will try and post pics of car later.Glad i found this place. Most other places on line seem to be dormant now. In fact the guy who started z32 power.com was selling his bad *** z on ebay yesterday. The high bid was 18,000. Did not meet his reserve that i guess is probably around 20,000.Well worth it.He probably has close to 45,000 invested. He says he now needs the cash to buy his first house.Sucks when we have to be practical.Oh well. He's getting out and i'm getting in.
