New Z Owner + few questions

Hey ya'll..greetings from Canada!

I Had a Black Z..but i sold it a few days ago..i recently acquired a Gold 300zx 2+2 NA..it just caught my eye and i had to buy it. I am a long fan of Z cars. My dad had a few 86s..and 87s..i had a 89 Supra Turbo which i sold a few months ago..240s..etc..etc. Well i look forward to sharing my knowledge and assisting everyone with their problems.

Now in an effort to avoid countless threads.. i just have a few quick questions..

-where can i get a good aftermarket rad for my car..like Koyo etc..I've searched sites but i only find for the TT.

-what type of engine oil..diff oil..and trans oil should i use when i change it..keep in mind the car has 18x,xxxk

thats it for now, thanks!

engine oil is the only one i can help with. it's really up to you, and everyone will suggest something different, but i'll suggest 10w-40 castrol high mileage. it really is good stuff for high mileage engines. you can use 10w-30 for the coldest months as well, but with high mileage, you may want to stay with 10-40 all year around. i do.

Redline MTL for the trans (if it's manual... can't help you if it's auto). I think many use MTL in the diff as well, but I never changed diff fluids on my Z32s, so I don't have experience with it. I always used Mobil1 10w-40 motor oils... many people recommend Royal Purple, as well.

Good looking Z, especially given the mileage.

If you want high performance brake fluid, Motul 600 or ATE Super Blue. Both are heavy duty fluids and should be replaced annually (as all brake fluid should, but it's especially important for these).

If you don't want to go through the hassle of a high performance fluid, I use Prestone DOT-3.

By the way, I'm pretty sure you're generally not supposed to use any rating other than what's recommended for the system... thus, DOT 3. Though DOT 4 is supposed to be compatible with DOT 3 systems, it is often the case that certain DOT 3 components can't handle the DOT 4 additives. Furthermore, there is no real long-term benefit of a DOT 4 fluid over DOT 3 (in fact, DOT 4 fluids need to be changed more often, because their boiling point drops more drastically than DOT 3).

I actually don't like the 94+ TT spoiler at all. I greatly favor the 90-93 style spoiler, and I love the Kaminari 60LED.

yeah i'm getting flamed in that thread for a lot of BS. that's how it goes. but that's the spoiler on my car. i've been really tempted for a long time to make a trade, but it's a really hard call.

No, meaning I like the stillen sport wing over the one posted by the OP.
