New Member, some questions!

Hey all,

I bought a 1992 300ZX Twin Turbo 5 speed, all stock, 60k miles ($13k), receipts, the whole deal.

To say I'm happy with it is an understatement.

I love going to the strip and have other cars, and brought my Z twice. Ran a best of 13.81@102.7mph. Does that sound about right for these cars?

Any drag tips or light mod tips would be highly appreciated 😊! I own a bone stock 1998 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 and I had to learn! At first I ran 13.6-13.7@101. Then I went on a forum, and now my 3000GT VR-4 runs 13.3-13.4, best of 13.28@103.7, zero mods. Same with my 1992 Toyota MR2 Turbo, took me forever to learn to drive it well.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks!! What year VR4s did you own? The 1994 to 1996 Dodge Stealth is a beast, same with the '94 to '99 VR4s.
Out of the box the second gen 3000GT VR4 is faster than the Z32 TT, but Z32s mod so well that it doesn't matter. I had a '97 VR4 and '91 300ZX TT at the same time years back, both stock. From a dig the Z couldn't catch the VR4 at all, but at high speed rolls they were super even and sometimes the Z pulled. I miss that VR4, but I like my '98 better and it has lower mileage. The Z32 is the best balanced of all of them, and it's looks have held up well. I love AWD, but there's nothing like twin turbos and RWD, with HICAS to top it off for the handling! My VR4 has been sitting since I got the Z, unless I just want to lay down faster times at the strip!

Both VR4s i owned were 92's. Loved both of them. Bought one in Cali and then one in Florida. When I moved from Florida I had to get rid of both couldn't move all the toys. Looking forward to building this car out. Been a long time since I had a project. My last fun car was a 2016 mustang GT premium. Got really bored with it really fast.
