New Guy; New Owner

Hey Guys. I just bought a 90 z32 NA, and am planning on turning it into my own. But I was wondering what kind of advice you guys would have for me as far as preventative maintenance, etc? i would like to do as much as i can myself obviously, but Here's what I am planning on doing already:

Dropping transmission pan and replacing the fluid with new;
new brake fluid
anything else that i have planned for the near future is aesthetic. should i put anything else in my list. Before i start changing the look of the car to suit me?

My Z is in very good condition as far as i can tell, as i have had it Pre-purchase inspected, and told that the car drives "like new". It is completely stock except for the aftermarket wing that is on it currently, only has 47,000 miles on it and has had the same owner (2nd owner, since 18,000 miles) for the last 20 years. The only visible rust on the car is on the exhaust system (which will be replaced at a later date). I have yet to have the car NYS inspected though, so some things may need to be worked on if problems arise (like emissions?)

thanks in advance,
Cory

so much for "drives like new"...

Took the car out for a drive last night and noticed that there is a pretty intense vibrating/ buzzing noise coming from the rear of the car from around 35-45mph-ish. there is a very short point around 20mph where it does it as well, but only for a second. the sound goes away after the 45mph range. i searched the forum for something similar and found someone had a similar problem that was a wheel bearing. would a wheel bearing go away and come back at the same speeds, or would it be more constant all the way through no matter what speed?

So it didn't do this on the test drives? And you drove it at those speeds?

I would start with the basics before jumping to the complicated...
Check the tires for uneven tread wear.
Also rotate the tires to see if the noise / vibration changes location.

I had a company inspect it for me before i bought it because of the distance away the car was from me. He never mentioned that sound or problem to me but i am going to contact him about it later tonight. I had to have brand new tires put on the car before i drove it at any kind of faster speeds because the tires that were on the car were 20 years old. So i dont think it is the tires. After i talk to the inspector again i will repost if he gives me any new info.
